Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

3rd SHIFT  8:00pm - 6:30am  

Valtir is hiring 3^rd shift Supervisor to support our Lima, OH manufacturing facility by overseeing processing activities in Galvanizing, Fabrication and Welding and supporting respective daily operations.
  
Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

• Responsible for all processes in Galvanizing, Fabrication & Welding departments 
• Direct employees in meeting quality and on-time delivery requirements, address production challenges, and communicate issues to relevant managers
• Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and disciplinary action when necessary
• Must meet all required expectation of Safety, Quality and Production
• Meet and exceed organizational goals through optimal utilization of personnel and resources
• Understand the galvanizing and fabrication process and use knowledge to achieve optimal operating efficiency
• Serve as a medium of communication between employees and upper management
• Motivate employees by resolving issues and making sound decisions
• Complete all required paperwork and inspections
• Other duties as assigned

Working Environment:

• Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy.
• The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.
• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.
• Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant.  Dependable job attendance is expected.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years experience in manufacturing processes and procedures
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience preferred
• Must be able to identify and solve complex problems using advance technical knowledge and creativity. 
• Knowledge of safety and quality policies/procedures 
• Strong ability to motivate team members 
• Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently including operating forklifts and cranes 
• Ability to function as a team member and establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Computer literacy
