What are the responsibilities and job description for the Career Material Handler position at Valtir LLC?
Valtir is searching for Material Handler team members in our Orangeburg, SC plant. As a Highway Guardrail Manufacturer team member, you will perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
Monday-Thursday 5 : 00AM-3 : 30PM overtime as needed Friday and or Saturday.
What you'll do :
Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Utilize industrial forklift to move and load materials safely and efficiently.
Maintain shipping records and documentation, including tracking numbers and delivery schedules.
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues.
Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts as needed.
Perform monthly cycle counts.
All duties assigned by Shipping Manager.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled.
The job is a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.
Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.
Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant. Dependable job attendance is expected.

Ability to understand technical aspects of the job
Ability to follow verbal, written instructions and procedures
Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently
