Senior Business/Data Analyst

VALTEQ, Inc. is a specialized technology firm proudly serving the U.S. civilian and defense sectors. We are laser focused on delivering IT program management, enterprise solution development, cloud services, software, hardware, and specialized defense products to our clients. We are currently looking for a highly qualified Senior Business/Data Analyst with a strong data analysis and reporting background to support a Federal Client in Colorado.

REQUIREMENTS

-Ability to obtain a U.S. secret clearance.
-This employer participates in the e-Verify program.
-Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
-Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by a background investigation.
-May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
-May be required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE Form 450) upon entering the position and annually.
-Must reside within daily commuting distance of client site and be able to 5 days a week.
-$1,000 relocation assistance will be provided for candidates relocating to within daily commuting distance of customer site in CO.

DUTIES

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting: Serve as the primary analyst for extracting, transforming, and analyzing business and operational data. Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate key metrics, trends, and performance indicators to stakeholders and management. Establish recurring reporting cycles, validate data quality and accuracy, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
2. Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for IT and reporting projects. This includes understanding business needs, defining data and reporting requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
3. Stakeholder Communication and Project Support: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, communicate progress and findings to stakeholders, and support project activities, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful delivery of analysis and reporting solutions. Address issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle.
4. Solution Design Support: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement reporting and data solutions that meet business requirements. This includes evaluating technology and tooling options and ensuring compatibility, scalability, and usability of delivered solutions.
5. Continuous Improvement: Use insights from data analysis to identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data workflows, and business operations, and work with teams to implement approved enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's responses and resume must demonstrate the referenced minimum years of experience for this announcement (5-7 years).

Specialized years of experience must have been gained and easily described:

-performing the duties described;
-in a technical setting and working with both technical and functional teams; and
-where agile and/or waterfall methodologies were followed.

Have expert knowledge of the following processes and solutions:

-Data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
-SQL for querying, joining, and validating data sets
-Advanced MS Excel, including pivot tables and Power Query, and the full MS Office Suite
-Building reports, dashboards, KPI scorecards, and executive-level visualizations
-Atlassian JIRA, ServiceNow, or other automated requirements gathering solutions
-Developing Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), mock-ups, wireframes, and prototypes
-Agile, Scrum, and Sprint-based delivery; working knowledge of ITIL and PMBOK

Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
