Verona Pizza & Wings, a lively, family-owned neighborhood favorite in Valparaiso known for our specialty pizzas, fresh wings, pasta dinners, and vibrant events, is looking for a dependable, hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
- Food Prep: Assist with chopping vegetables, prepping meats, making dough, and portioning ingredients for our pizza and wing lines.
- Line Support: Support the cooks during peak rush hours by assembling orders, keeping stations stocked, and maintaining efficient workflow.
- Dishwashing & Sanitation: Ensure pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Maintain clean prep areas, counters, and floors following all health and safety codes.
- Inventory & Stocking: Help rotate stock, put away food deliveries, and monitor ingredient levels.
- General Kitchen Duties: Take out trash, manage box folding, and help the back-of-house team close down the kitchen smoothly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant, pizzeria, or fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus, but a great work ethic and willingness to learn are more important—we are willing to train the right person!
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a warm kitchen environment, and lift up to 40 lbs safely.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable attendance, and a team-first attitude.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends (our busy times include Friday/Saturday rushes and event nights).
