Title: Elementary English Language Learner Teacher
Qualifications:
- Appropriate Indiana licensure in English as a New Language (ENL) required
- Interest in sponsoring/coaching extra-curricular activities preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Job Goal:
- To carry out the aims and objectives of the English Language Learner Program from introductory to advanced
- To instruct students in individual, small group, and large group settings for the success of all students
- To continue the expectation of excellence in the English Language Learner Program, promoting growth of the programming offered to students, and fostering the development of the whole child
Expectations:
- Maintain high standards as a role model, both in and out of the classroom, while advocating the skills, mission and objectives of the school and district
- Utilize research-based instructional strategies for both face-to-face and digital learning opportunities for students
- Promote good citizenship, be understanding and fair, and display a character of integrity
- Effectively communicate with students, parents, teachers, media, administrators and other groups within the community
- Work in collaboration with other teachers, across all disciplines, to enhance the learning experience for all students
- Demonstrate necessary organizational and leadership skills
- Other duties assigned by principal
Location:
- Position will require travel between elementary buildings to provide services. Locations are dependent on student need and schedule.
