Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Coach to lead a competitive club volleyball team. The Head Coach will be responsible for creating a positive team culture, providing structured training, and helping athletes grow in their technical skills, confidence, and teamwork. This role requires a balance of mentorship, discipline, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of a competitive travel team (ages 11–18, based on assignment)
- Plan and run engaging, skill-appropriate practices (2–3 per week)
- Coach athletes during weekend tournaments and competitions
- Foster an environment that promotes sportsmanship, accountability, and personal growth
- Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and Valor leadership
- Evaluate athlete performance and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with assistant coaches and staff as needed
- Ensure adherence to all Valor policies, safety guidelines, and league rules
Qualifications
- Previous volleyball coaching experience (club, school, or collegiate level preferred)
- Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and team development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and mentor youth athletes
- Must be available for practices, local/regional travel, and weekend tournaments
- Current (or willing to obtain):

☐ IMPACT & SafeSport Certification
☐ CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)
