Part Time LPN Hospice / Licensed Practical Nurse for Douglas and Bisbee Areas

Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your role will involve following the plan of care, providing treatments, and collaborating with the team to ensure the best possible care for our patients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care as defined in the State's Nurse Practice Act
• Implement the plan of care initiated by the registered nurse
• Accurately and timely document patient care consistent with the plan of care
• Assess and provide patient and family education pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care
• Participate in coordination of home health services and report needs to the registered nurse
• Use equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently
• Participate in personal and professional growth and development
• Perform other duties as assigned by the registered nurse

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited practical vocational nursing program
• Three years of nursing experience preferred, with hospice/home health or medical/surgical experience being a plus
• Current license as a licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse in the state
• Compliance with accepted professional standards and practice
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Must be a licensed driver with a reliable insured automobile
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification
