Valor Collegiate Academies
Valor Collegiate Academies Salary
Nashville, TN Full Time
POSTED ON 6/10/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/8/2026
Location: In-person, on-site position based in Nashville, TN

Employment Type: Full-time, 12-month role

Salary: The salary range for this role is between $60,450-$69,550, and placement within that range is based on comparable leadership experience

About the Role: The After-School Program Manager (ASPM) reports directly to the Chief Engagement and Insight Officer (CEIO) and is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and curating a thriving, creative, and diverse offering of after-school programming across all three Valor campuses under the Fine Arts, Clubs, and Enrichment (FACE) umbrella.

The ASPM is both a strategic thinker and operational executor by overseeing program vision, logistics, enrollment, leader support, quality control, and family communication. This role requires proactive collaboration with the CEIO for strategic problem-solving, planning, and continuous improvement.

Because the ASPM indirectly manages multiple internal and external stakeholders, strong systems, visible leadership presence, timely responsiveness, and consistent feedback are essential to success.

Core Responsibilities:

FACE & After-School Leadership

  • Establish vision for FACE programming.
  • Manage all after-school programming by providing operational and logistical support for program leaders.
  • Manage and provide ongoing coaching to the After-School Coordinator, and ensure continuity of operations by assuming the Coordinator’s responsibilities as needed in their absence.
  • Develop and execute FACE program leader training sessions each semester, ensuring leaders are prepared to deliver high-quality, engaging experiences.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of after-school clubs and programs to assess quality, student engagement, safety, and alignment to FACE standards.
  • Provide consistent, timely, and actionable feedback to program leaders based on walkthrough observations.
  • Identify growth areas and implement strategic improvements.
  • Solve problems in real time with sound judgment and initiative.
  • Establish yearly after-school programming goals and priorities aligned to Valor’s long-term vision.
  • Oversee fall and spring club enrollment and program launches.

  • Collaborate with each school’s Directors of Operations to determine best use of space and resources.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance and CEIO to develop and manage the FACE budget.
  • Develop FACE marketing materials and execute FACE events (e.g., FACE Gala).

The ASPM directly manages the After-School Coordinator and indirectly manages a diverse network of internal and external program leaders so the ASPM must:

  • Respond to all emails and stakeholder communication within 48 hours, providing complete and clear responses.
  • Demonstrate professional flexibility in daily scheduling. While standard hours are 9:30am-5:30pm, the role requires adaptability to meet the needs of scholars, families, program leaders, and events.
  • Maintain visible and accessible leadership presence during after-school hours.
  • Provide consistent and varied feedback to program leaders (in-person, virtual, written), ensuring clarity, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Use daily walkthrough data to drive coaching conversations and program improvement.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with families, community partners, and internal teams through exceptional communication and follow-through.
  • Model proactive problem-solving rather than reactive management.

To ensure student safety and seamless campus operations, the ASPM steps in to support direct administrative tasks during peak hours or in the temporary absence of the After-School Coordinator, including:

  • Check in and contact parents of late scholars to coordinate pickup
  • Manage FACE inbox and other administrative tasks
  • Manage communication between Valor employees, families, and FACE program leaders

Critical Experience and Qualifications:
