How You Will Contribute
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the CNC Operator position in the Global Utility Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will operate the CNC Machines in a safe and efficient manner to aid in the fabrication process of Valmont products. Additionally, you will…
- Assist team members with other departmental tasks, cleaning, and general equipment maintenance
- Work under the direction of the leader and report directly to the Shift Supervisor
- Operate the CNC burn table, drill press and other cutting or burning equipment and keep the department environment clean and safe
- Inspect all parts produced to ensure quality standards
- Maintain a clean and greased machine and perform daily TPM
- Operate overhead crane, plate blaster, cutting torch and forklift as needed
- Wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations
- Maintain a safe and productive working environment
Required Qualifications
- The ability to accurately use and read a tape measure, thread gauges, micrometer, protractor, and dial calipers
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must have a high awareness for safety at all times
- The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
- The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- One year of previous experience operating a CNC drill
- One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- One year of previous experience operating hand and/or power tools in a professional environment
- The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.
