Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Production
- Assemble components and products using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
- Perform mechanical builds for parts such as brackets, frames, housings, and assemblies.
- Verify part specifications and measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other precision tools.
- Conduct functional tests on assemblies to ensure proper operation and performance.
- Inspect parts and assemblies for defects, deviations, or incorrect specifications.
- Record production data, inspection results, and any non‑conformances.
- Follow standardized work instructions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate issues promptly to supervisors, engineering, or quality teams.
- Operate equipment safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area (5S).
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on tools and assembly equipment as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with standard assembly tools.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools and tolerances.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Experience in machining, fabrication, or mechanical repair.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, standard work, waste reduction).
- Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing systems for tracking work.
