As an Entry Level Process Gas Chromatography Chemist, you will be responsible for validating the analytical hardware and operating conditions required to accomplish our customer’s requested analysis through gas chromatographic methodologies using the Valmet MAXUM Process Gas Chromatograph.

In this role you will

Perform setup, testing, and troubleshooting of MAXUM Process Gas Chromatographs ensuring readiness for customer acceptance by completing all the safety testing, analytical setup, and quality checks. On-Job Safety including wearing appropriate manufacturing and laboratory Personal Protective Equipment, working with project Method Chemists and Runout Engineering Technical Lead on a regular basis to validate requested analysis is being completed. Working cross-departmentally to ensure timely shipments of MAXUM Process Gas Chromatographs. Continuous skill growth and improvement to stay current with product offerings, interfacing with external customer during Factory Acceptance Testing. Additionally, modification of process gas chromatographic solutions and mix chemicals to work as test mixtures used during setup, testing, and troubleshooting of MAXUM Process Gas Chromatographs

The successful candidate will report to the Methods Development Manager.

Expectations

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

Core experience with analytical chemistry

0-2 year’s experience demonstrating proficiency with gas and/or liquid chromatography

Detail Oriented

Ability to read and understand wire, tubing, and other technical drawings

Intermediate Microsoft Office and PDF experience

Strong hardware and troubleshooting capability
