Position Description: Area Supervisor
Location: Greater Birmingham AL Area
Reports to: Director of Operations

Description
Area Supervisors or are responsible for running multiple profitable restaurants within a designated geographical area and for making sure their assigned restaurants meet McDonald’s critical customer service standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. The Area Supervisor supports and guides restaurant managers in staff development, operations, marketing, and compliance with company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with General Managers of each restaurant to set and achieve operational goals
- Coaches General Managers and teams of Department Managers with specific responsibilities in the restaurants
- Regularly participates in business planning activities as directed by the Director of Operations
- Is responsible for the oversight of food safety, health, and labor practices within their assigned restaurants
- Manages food and supplies inventory for their restaurants
- Engages in McDonald’s people practices
- Oversees the general safety and security of each restaurant
- Manages the time and attendance of General Managers for the purposes of payroll processing
- Responsible for managing the cash on hand in each restaurant and ensuring proper handling
- Enforces company policy and procedure through training and regular communication
- Involved in the recruitment and hiring of employees and crew members

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the restaurant for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, stooping, and reaching overhead when necessary
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Ability to drive daily between restaurants and locations
