Project Manager (1099)

We’re seeking a Project Manager to lead client accounts, manage multi-channel initiatives, and guide internal teams with clarity, confidence, and strategic awareness. This is a client-facing role with leadership responsibility, ideal for someone who has agency experience and is ready to grow into a stronger management position.
This role reports to the Operations Manager and is a key contributor to our growing leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Own project management for assigned client accounts across multiple workstreams
- Serve as the primary client-facing contact for project coordination and communication
- Manage timelines, scopes, priorities, and deliverables across branding, content, social, email, paid, and web initiatives
- Translate strategy into clear tasks, timelines, and expectations for internal teams
- Assign, track, and follow up on tasks in Asana to ensure accountability and momentum
- Monitor Slack communication to proactively unblock team members and address risks
- Collaborate closely with Digital Lead, Creative Lead, and Operations Manager to ensure alignment
- Support leadership in managing and developing project team members
- Identify performance gaps, process breakdowns, and opportunities for improvement
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting to the Operations Manager on team efficiency, productivity, and progress toward defined goals and KPIs
- Serve as an additional quality assurance review point by proofing work for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with strategy and client goals prior to client delivery
- Support coverage of the agency phone line alongside other key team members, handling project- and client-related inquiries with professionalism and clarity
- Contribute to project planning, forecasting, and resourcing discussions
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality, clarity, and client-ready standards before handoff
- Maintain calm, organized oversight of multiple moving pieces under each account
Qualifications:
- 2 years experience as a Project Manager or Account Manager in an agency setting
- Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals and multi-channel campaign workflows
- Comfortable managing complex accounts with multiple contributors and timelines
- Confident verbal and written communicator with client-facing experience
- Natural leadership ability with interest in team development and management
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
- Experience using Asana, Slack, and similar collaboration tools
- Strategic thinker who can see the big picture while managing execution
- Proactive, composed, and solution-oriented under pressure
- Comfortable working remotely with consistent responsiveness during business hours
