Platform Engineer (Python / Backend) - C2C project
- C2C (Corp to Corp) project - this is not a W2 role
- $64 - $67 per hour
- Hybrid role
- 6 months initial project
Our consulting client is hiring a Platform Engineer to design and build the core backend services powering their banking clients Security platform — the central system of record for security findings, controls, remediation workflows, and reporting.
Platform Engineer (Python / Backend) - What you'll do:
- Build scalable Python APIs and microservices supporting security finding management, control validation, alert processing, and workflow orchestration
- Develop telemetry ingestion and event-processing pipelines using Kafka and event-driven architecture
- Build RESTful APIs and integrations across platforms including Keycloak, ServiceNow, OpenShift, Vault, and DataHub
- Implement AI-enabled capabilities for triage support, root-cause analysis, and risk prioritisation
- Support CI/CD, containerisation (OpenShift/Kubernetes), and production deployment
Platform Engineer (Python / Backend) - What you'll bring:
- 5 years of Python backend development experience
- Strong skills in FastAPI, Flask, or Django, with REST API and microservices architecture experience
- Experience with Kafka/event streaming, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of secure coding, authentication/authorization, and IAM concepts
- Experience in cloud-native, containerized environments (OpenShift/Kubernetes preferred)
Nice to have:
- Experience with SIEM, SOAR, CNAPP, CSPM, or similar Security Hub platforms
- Background in financial services or other highly regulated environments
- Experience supporting AI/ML-enabled applications
