The Role
We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Account Representative to expand our footprint. This isn't just about "selling floorboards"—it’s about building long-term relationships with business owners and ensuring Vallora Flooring is the first name they think of for their next project.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and hunt for new wholesale opportunities with flooring retailers, home builders, and commercial contractors.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and grow an existing book of business by providing exceptional service and product expertise.
- Market Strategy: Conduct on-site visits to showrooms and job sites within the DFW metroplex to showcase new collections and samples.
- Product Mastery: Stay ahead of industry trends (LVP, engineered hardwood, tile) to act as a consultant for your clients.
- Pipeline Management: Use CRM tools to track leads, manage quotes, and ensure seamless delivery from our Carrollton warehouse to the client.
Duties
- Develop and execute strategic plans for outside sales and territory management to maximize market penetration
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, and networking
- Manage existing accounts with a focus on upselling, cross-selling, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels
- Conduct detailed product demonstrations and technical sales presentations tailored to client needs
- Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively while ensuring customer requirements are met or exceeded
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that support business development efforts
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and offering tailored solutions
- Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, client interactions, and territory updates for ongoing analysis
What You Bring to the Table
- Industry Experience: 2 years of B2B sales experience (flooring, building materials, or home improvement industry preferred).
- The "Hustle": A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
- Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport with everyone from warehouse managers to business owners.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the North Texas market and a valid driver’s license for local travel.
Experience
- Proven success in outside sales or B2B (business-to-business) sales environments with a focus on technology or industrial products
- Demonstrated ability in territory management, lead generation, and direct sales strategies
- Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities to foster long-term client relationships
- Background in account management, upselling, and customer service within retail or technical sales sectors
- Familiarity with marketing techniques related to business development and territory expansion
- Analysis skills to interpret market data, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies
- Ability to conduct product demos confidently while explaining technical features clearly to diverse audiences
