The Billing Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic's financial processes by accurately and efficiently handling billing tasks related to patient accounts and insurance claims. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify insurance claims for accuracy and completeness before submission to insurance companies.
- Verify insurance coverage for patients undergoing fertility treatments, ensuring accurate billing according to insurance policies and guidelines.
- Generate and process accurate invoices for services rendered to patients, including consultations, treatments, procedures, and medications.
- Review and resolve claim denials and rejections promptly by identifying the root causes and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Post payments received from patients and insurance companies into the billing system, reconciling accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of billing activities, insurance claims, payments, and patient interactions in accordance with clinic policies and legal requirements.
- Work closely with other administrative staff, medical personnel, and insurance providers to resolve billing issues and optimize reimbursement processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline billing procedures, enhance efficiency, and improve the overall patient billing experience.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Billing Supervisor or Practice Manager.
- Billing Phones 2-3 Shifts a week
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Self-motivated and a team player
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong Computer Proficiency
- Current professional experience with Microsoft Excel (preferred)
- Basic understanding of insurance authorization processes (preferred)
- Financial/Billing experience (preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish (Highly preferred)
