Part Time Assisted Living Kitchen position

This part time position works with the Cooks, Servers, and Nutrition Services Manager in prepping, serving, and cleaning tasks to provide meaningful dining experiences for the residents.

As a part time nutrition assistant, your main duties will be helping prep food, cleaning tasks, stocking kitchen areas, and demonstrating a high level of customer service to our residents. Must be able to adhere to strict cleanliness and sanitation guidelines. Reports to the Nutrition Manager and works with the Cook and Server positions. You will be trained in any job duties as well as continuing education throughout the year.

This Part time position has a basic schedule of

• Monday 8:30am-2:30pm
• Tuesday 8:30am-2:30pm
• Friday 8:30am-2:30pm

• There is some flexibility with these shifts - just ask!

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Prior experience working with food or the restaurant industry preferred but not required
• Demonstrated ability to work with seniors.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to follow directions and carry out delegated tasks.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with residents and team members.
• Sits, stands, bends, twists, reaches, and lifts intermittently.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds routinely.
• Reaches above shoulders; uses hands to manipulate objects.
• Good close vision.
