Valley Vision Clinic has an opportunity for a full time OPTOMETRIC ASSISTANT/TECHNICIAN. We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused individual to join our incredible team as we work together to serve our patients who trust us with their eye care needs. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package, as indicated, including paid lunches and no weekends. (Health insurance is for the employee only.) Previous optical or optometric technician experience is preferred. For a motivated candidate with excellent customer service skills and a desire to learn, we are willing to train. The ideal candidate must be personable, professional, and detail-oriented; be able to learn quickly, multi-task, manage time, and retain information. We offer educational opportunities to become a certified technician.
Job Duties:
- Ensure exam rooms are clean and ready for patient
- Perform pre-screening for the doctor
- Perform testing such as blood pressure, retinal photography, tonometry, and visual fields
- Handling contact lenses, including insertion and removal training
- Act as an electronic health record scribe while the doctor examines patient
- Use computer software for contact lens orders, entering fees, making appointments
- Interact with patients and management professionally and respectfully
- Other duties as assigned by the doctor/manager
