What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) PACU - Recovery position at Valley View?
We're looking for RNs to join our PACU TEAM!
Recovery room nurse or post-operative nurse is responsible for the care and monitoring of patients after surgery.
- Plans and coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for clients utilizing the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other clinical personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.
- Supports the philosophy and goals of the individual clinical area.
- Supports the shared governance vision and nursing obligations of membership which guide the practice of all nurses at Valley View Hospital.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Two years RN experience required.
- PACU or Critical Care experience is strongly preferred.
- BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association with cards in-hand before start date.
- PALS through the American Heart Association within six months.

SCHEDULE:
- 32 hours/week. Working 2-10's and 1-12-hour shift with rotating weeknight and weekend call.
SALARY RANGE:
- $37.50 to $56.23/hour (BSN)
- $36.76 to $54.06/hour (ADN)
- Evening, Night and Weekend Differentials.
- Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
