Position Summary:
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: The Registered Nurse is directly accountable to the Department Director / Coordinator and is ultimately responsible to the Chief Nursing Officer.
- Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association upon hired, if BLS is not from AHA employee will 30 days from hire to obtain one from AHA.
- Associate’s degree Required
- Graduate of a Credited Nursing Program,.
- Valid Arizona nursing license or valid multistate license from a recognized compact state acceptable to Arizona.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), American Heart Association obtained within 90 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American heart association X Preferred
- NIH Stroke scale completed within 90 days of hire
- EKG exam at time of hire
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
