Food Service Director

Valley View Manor Nursing Home is seeking an experienced & energetic Director Dietary to join our team.

The ideal candidate should have the following:

• A passion for food & apperance of food. 
• Experience of supervising dietary department in a long term care setting.
• Experience in managing staff & scheduling 
• Knowledge of keeping track of Inventory, rotating of stock, ensuring kitchen remains sanitary
• Knowledge of Ordering systems & Menu's    

Duties:

• Establishes department policies and procedure
• Plans in advance regular and theraputic diet menus
• works closely with the Diet-Tech & RD
• Hires sufficient personnel needed to operate the dining department
• Prepares for and participates in multidisciplinary care meetings
• Recommend supplies to be purchased and review before the purchase is ordered
• Ensures the Dining department follows sanitation procedures.
• Other duties as given through adminstration.

Qualifications:

Certified Dietary manager in New York State.

Also prefer Serv-Safe certified
