Groundskeeper

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for landscape maintenance. As a Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and inviting.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass.
• Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to ensure proper hydration for plants and lawns.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Clear debris from walkways, parking lots, and other outdoor areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new landscaping projects as needed.
• Monitor plant health and identify any pest or disease issues, taking appropriate action when necessary.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition through regular cleaning and servicing.
• Remove snow and apply ice melt as needed during winter months

Skills

• Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilization, and irrigation systems.
• Proficiency in using power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and mowers.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and landscaping tasks.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
