Senior Staff Accountant, full time Silt

Valley View is seeking a full time Senior Staff Accountant to assist our Fiscal Department. The Senior Staff Accountant performs advanced general ledger accounting functions, reconciliations and financial reporting for all clinics.  This position is also responsible for providing backup of other accounting functions and ensuring proper accounting controls are adhered to including compliance with GAAP principals.

This is a full time, day shift position working 40 hours per week! 

This position will work offsite at our Silt office in Silt, CO. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs entire general ledger function including journal entry development, analytic review of monthly expenses, appropriate month-end accruals and reconciliation of general ledger accounts for areas which could include, but are not limited to, bonds payable, investments and fixed assets.
• Prepares journal entries with accurate and complete supporting documentation.
• Develops month-end accruals in coordination with accounts payable and per analytic review of expenses.
• Review and ensure accurate coding of AP invoices processed by AP team.
• Responds to internal financial inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assists with statistical database maintenance.
• Assists with annual workbooks for financial statement audit, tax return and Medicare cost report.
• Provides backup of other accounting functions and assists on other projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Accounting or equivalent business degree with emphasis on accounting
• 4 years of experience as an accountant
• Healthcare experience and Audit experience, preferred
• CPA designation, preferred
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, subtotals, pivot tables, etc.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail

SALARY

• Entry salary dependent upon education, skill-set, and experience.
• Position Wage Range:  $70,699.20 - $103,958.40/year
