Eagle Valley Family Practice, located in Eagle Colorado is looking for a Lead Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to grow our Team! Work alongside Family Practice Providers, to assist with patient care.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Performs all clinical duties per licensed health care provider or delegation of a registered nurse, designated specifically by the clinic.
- Provides assistance to licensed health care providers and nursing staff for general patient assessments, rooming patients, procedures, treatments, filing/retrieving medical records, and general office clerical duties.
- Performs patient care tasks following clinic standards of care as defined in policies and procedures
- Performs other duties that may be asked of the Director, to assist with work efficiency and to help promote patient safety.
- Oversees the implementation of the new employee orientation process for medical assisting, assures orientation incorporates hospital values, goals and performance expectations, related instructional materials for orientation, special training and new procedures as appropriate.
- Develops, implements, and administers educational programs, ongoing competencies and provides resources to meet the continuing educational needs of clinical staff, in collaboration with the Director/Clinical supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- CMA or RMA is required.
- If not currently credentialed (CMA or RMA) as a Medical Assistant, will need to obtain that credential within 6 (six) months of hire.
- Current BLS - American Heart Association- Certification or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
Skills:
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Laboratory and/or X-ray experience preferred.
Experience:
- Recent health care setting experience or a graduate from a Medical Assistant program with the last year, preferred.
SALARY RANGE
- $21.23 to $31.22/hour
- Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
