What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Referrals Specialist position at Valley View Health Center?
Valley View Community Health Center is seeking a full time Medical Referrals Specialist at our Raymond Clinic. This position is responsible for processing medical referral requests, including releasing and obtaining records, office correspondence and work in an electronic health record system.
Education: High school diploma or GED Required
Qualifications:
One year of receptionist experience in a medical office preferred. Must possess strong organizational and office computer skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments. Must have excellent internal and external communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have knowledge of HIPAA and client confidentiality laws and be proficient in medical terminology.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 7:30am-6:00pm (currently 4 (10)'s. Possibility of 5 (8)'s in future.
