Early Childhood Teacher - TEMPORARY (Control Code: 20134)

VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a TEMPORARY full-time Early Childhood teaching position for the 2025-2026 school year.

JOB SUMMARY: The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for: planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests and abilities of multiply disabled preschoolers with a wide range of needs and abilities; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Early Childhood endorsement and Early Childhood Special Education Approval
• Satisfactory special education teaching experience
• Knowledge of Work Sampling and Creative Curriculum preferred
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and the Illinois Early Learning Standard
• Knowledge of current teaching techniques of children with disabilities
• Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP's)
• Ability to provide help in modifying instructional materials for students assigned
• Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, and parents

PAY SCALE AND BENEFIT DISCLOSURE:

Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule.
