Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing to ensure accurate diagnostics and treatment.
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness to promote optimal health.
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques for examinations, treatments, and X-ray procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of patient histories, treatments, and laboratory results with precision and attention to detail.
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, polishing, and radiography.
- Manage laboratory samples and conduct tests related to animal physiology and health status.
- Ensure aseptic techniques are followed during surgeries or invasive procedures to prevent infections.
- Contribute to pet care by educating owners on animal handling, pet grooming, and basic health maintenance.
Qualifications
* RVN
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology is essential for effective support.
- Familiarity with X-ray operation and laboratory testing enhances your ability to contribute across multiple tasks.
- Strong animal restraint skills combined with pet care expertise ensure safe interactions with animals of all sizes.
- Veterinary technician experience or related veterinary critical care background is mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key!
