Job Purpose:
- The Diesel Technician at VALLEY FORD TRUCKS- MASTER is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on diesel-powered vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role is vital in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, systems, and components, including fuel, brakes, steering, suspension, and transmission systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and system inspections to prevent potential issues.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about vehicle issues and repair timelines.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in diesel technology or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing complex diesel engine issues.
- Experience with electronic diagnostic equipment and software for diesel engines.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems and components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot engine problems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and explain technical issues to customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
