What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Processor Administrator position at Valley Tool & Mfg., Inc.?
The Outside Process Administrator is responsible for procurement of all Outside Processing for our mid-sized AS9100 aerospace company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but, are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
- Responsible for creating purchase orders to meet outside processing production requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible for negotiating pricing and delivery from large supplier base.
- Selects vendors, assesses vendor capabilities, develops alternate sources, and evaluates vendor performance as related to outside processing.
- Interfaces directly with engineering to resolve vendors issues on specifications in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for managing the approved outside processing supplier list.
- Performs daily follow up and expedition of outside processing orders and reporting the status to operations team members the following morning.
- Interfaces with accounting department to resolve all outside processing purchase order and invoice issues.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and persuasive skills required.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment handling high volume of outside processing purchase orders
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge in the procurement of outside processing including paint to mil-spec. requirements.
- Experience in working with mil-spec requirements. Sikorsky experience a major plus.
- Five years' experience working in aerospace industry preferably with experience procuring outside processing for sheet metal fabrication.
- Experience with MRP/ERP packages. Epicor experience a plus.
- Must be computer literate
- Good communications, negotiating and organizational skills and capable of handling multiple projects.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- CPM, CSCP, CPIM certification would be a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor and coworkers.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving limited variables in manufacturing process.
- Ability to provide daily status on those parts assigned to their area. Daily calls to vendors requesting updates along with providing updated information every day to the operations team in time for the daily morning meeting.
