What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deburrer position at Valley Tool & Mfg., Inc.?
1st shift 7:00AM- 3:30 PM
This person will deburr, clean and prepare sheet metal and machined parts and products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but, are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
- Deburr edges of details to remove sharp edges.
- Light grinding of welds and surface imperfections.
- Other tasks to support forming operation – such as polishing parts and deburring.
- Signs into and tracks work using an ERP system.
- Capable of diagnosing simple issues with parts, able to work with technical staff to diagnose more complex issues.
- Follows documentation to perform the correct operation at the correct sequence on the traveler.
- Moving products to other areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with manufactured aerospace components preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor and coworkers.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving limited variables in manufacturing process.
- Ability to add and subtract and have a basic understanding of geometry.
- Prior experience is a plus but is a major bonus.
