Valley Staffing is seeking candidates for a tool and die making position in Jordan. This is a long term position. In this role candidates will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing operations.
Description:
- Create, and modify complex tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other specialized equipment used in the stamping process
- Use advanced machining tools such as CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate high-precision components
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD models to ensure tools meet exact specifications
- Understanding tolerances, material properties, and geometric dimsensions
- Assemble and test tools, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to company standards.
- Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment
- Troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning tools
- Work closely with production teams to develop new methods, and improve existing tooling processes
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all tools meet highest standards of quality
- Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and company guidelines
- Mentor and train junior toolmakers and machinists
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited apprenticeship program, or technical school preferred
- Minimum 5-10 years of hands-on experience in toolmaking or precision machining, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Experience in creating complex tools and fixtures
- Strong troubleshooting skills, and ability to resolve complex issues
- High level of accuracy and precision in all aspects of toolmaking and machining
- Advanced proficiency in operating manual and CNC machines(milling machines, lathes, grinders)
- Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and blueprint reading
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMM
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop less experienced toolmakers
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
Shift:
7 AM to 3:30 PM, Mon-Fri
Pay:
$32 to $38 per hour
