Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install new appliances, HVAC units, and mechanical systems following safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct detailed inspections of equipment to identify potential issues early and execute repairs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and inventory of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies.
- Collaborate with construction teams during upgrades or new installations to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during complex repair projects or system overhauls.
Skills
- Extensive experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and mechanical systems repair.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
- Proven ability in appliance installation and equipment repair across various mechanical platforms.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures related to HVAC systems including air conditioning units and ventilation systems.
- Construction experience is a plus for understanding building infrastructure integration.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with leadership skills to guide team efforts effectively.
- Ability to diagnose issues quickly using diagnostic tools and execute repairs accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
