Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive patient care, perform assessments, and support diagnostic and treatment procedures across various specialties. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care we provide.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner to document findings accurately.
- Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, following established protocols.
- Assist with procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections while maintaining sterile techniques.
- Manage acute pain cases, triage patients effectively in outpatient or urgent care settings, and coordinate follow-up care plans.
- Support clinical research initiatives by collecting specimens, processing laboratory tests, and ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans, perform case management, and provide health coaching tailored to diverse patient populations.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license with current certification.
- Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and documentation standards.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Skills in procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing, airway management, and sonography are preferred.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to perform physical exams and diagnostic evaluations confidently.
