 Inside Sales- Major Accounts 

The Inside Sales Major Accounts role supports revenue growth and account expansion within VSE’s Major Accounts portfolio. This position manages the pre-sales and quoting process, ensuring opportunities are qualified, priced strategically, and aligned with margin and operational objectives. 

This role serves as a key liaison between Major Accounts Leadership and internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations. The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in translating customer requirements into accurate, competitive proposals while proactively identifying risk, complexity, and capacity considerations that may impact long-term account success. 

This position requires strong business acumen, urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively within a structured sales process supporting high-value customer relationships. 

Customer Portal & Document Management Systems  

  • Review and analyze customer RFQs using customer specific portal 

  • Retrieve customer documentation, specifications, and drawings to support accurate quoting and proposals. 

  • Identify missing or unclear technical and commercial information and coordinate clarification with customers. 

  • Submit bids, upload required documents and ensure compliance with customer procurement processes. 

  • Monitor portal updates, revisions, and award notifications, coordinating internally to meet deadlines. 

  • Continuously improve Ariba workflows to enhance efficiency and responsiveness for major accounts. 

RFQ & Quoting Coordination outside of Ariba process 

  • Review and analyze customer RFQs, including BOMs, drawings, test requirements, and forecast data. 

  • Identify missing or unclear technical and commercial information and coordinate clarification with customers. 

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to develop accurate cost models and lead times. 

  • Prepare detailed, customized sales proposals aligned with customer requirements and VSE margin objectives. 

  • Ensure all quotes comply with the company's pricing strategy, policies, and approval of workflows. 

Sales Process & CRM Management 

  • Partner with leadership to advance opportunities through VSE’s MEDDPPIC sales process in CRM software (HubSpot). 

  • Ensure opportunities are properly qualified, documented, and updated in the CRM. 

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, forecasts, and pipeline activity. 

  • Track quote status, follow-ups, and conversion metrics to support revenue forecasting. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Escalate risks related to material availability, NPI complexity, test requirements, or production constraints. 

  • Support smooth handoff from awarded quote to Program Management and Operations. 

Customer Communication 

  • Respond to customer inquiries related to quotes, documentation, lead times, and capabilities. 

  • Build professional rapport with customers by providing clear, accurate, and timely information. 

  • Support Account Executives in maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the quoting cycle. 

Qualifications  

  • 1–3 years of experience in PCBA or electronics contract manufacturing (preferred). 

  • Understanding PCB assemblies, BOM structures, NPI processes, and manufacturing workflows. 

  • Experience reviewing RFQs and supporting quoting processes in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required). 

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized. 

  • Ability to manage multiple RFQs and deadlines simultaneously. 

  • Demonstrates sound judgment and a solutions-oriented mindset. 

Qualifications:
