Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning, painting, and custodial tasks to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Conduct repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and appliances.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, welding, maintenance painting, and mechanical repairs.
- Troubleshoot issues with electrical equipment and facilities systems, including repairs and plumbing maintenance.
- Assist with the installation, inspection, and repair of building interior components and facilities equipment.
- Support the team with general porter duties such as moving supplies, trash removal, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations , with knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC systems, and building interior maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, welding, and HVAC system repair.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of following detailed instructions and safety protocols.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
