Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Central Sterile/Environmental team member to join our fast-growing surgery center in Piqua, OH. This full-time position plays a critical role in preparing surgical instruments for cleaning and sterile processing, disinfecting equipment, and supporting environmental services during and after surgical cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical instruments for cleaning and sterile processing following established protocols.
• Disinfect equipment and process semi-critical devices to ensure patient safety.
• Identify and apply appropriate methods to clean and process various surgical equipment.
• Order supplies and instruments as needed to maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Troubleshoot processing equipment to ensure proper functioning and timely repairs.
• Act as a backup to environmental services by assisting with cleaning during and after surgical cases.

Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instrument preparation and sterile processing techniques.
• Ability to disinfect and process equipment classified as semi-critical devices.
• Familiarity with various cleaning and processing methods for surgical instruments.
• Experience ordering and managing supplies and instruments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with processing equipment.
• Willingness to assist environmental services as needed during surgical procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
