Job Summary
Under the supervision of Valley ROP and site administration, instruct high school students enrolled in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses, including but not limited to, emergency patient assessment, trauma and medical response, basic life support, and pre-hospital care aligned to industry standards. Provide both classroom (didactic) and hands-on laboratory instruction that reflects current EMS practices and National Registry standards. Coordinate and supervise Supervised Clinical Experience (SCE) opportunities with local fire departments, EMS agencies, and healthcare partners to ensure real-world application of skills. Prepare students for industry-recognized certifications, including EMT and CPR/First Aid, while promoting professionalism and employability skills. Must possess strong knowledge of EMS concepts, safety protocols, and instructional strategies, and implement course outlines, goals, and objectives, as well as develop lesson plans that support student success and pathway completion.
