MY ONE THING
Oversee bookkeeping and finance support, providing exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES
The primary responsibilities of the Bookkeeper include, but are not limited to the following:
- Accounts Payable
- Credit Card Management
- Budget Cycle Support
- Reconciliation/Month-End
- Respond to Giver questions
- Provide staff support with ministry budgets or transactions
- Weekly cash count and giving processing
- Wire Transfers
- Annual filings
- Check Printing
- Journal Entries in QuickBooks
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years experience with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, QuickBooks experience is a plus
- Must have high attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be self-motivated, dependable, and strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with staff
- Due to access to financial records, this position requires a high degree of confidentiality

- Attend monthly All Staff meeting and participate in department meetings or other meetings when requested to do so.
- Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries and events of Valley Real Life.
