Service Manager | $100k-$140k | Fargo, ND

An established company in the construction industry is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead daily service operations, oversee a team of technicians, and keep equipment maintenance and repairs running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop and field service operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
• Lead, coach, and develop service personnel while maintaining accountability for productivity, safety, and quality.
• Assign work based on employee expertise, availability, and operational priorities.
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections to minimize equipment downtime.
• Coordinate urgent service needs and communicate progress and completion timelines.
• Manage parts purchasing, vendor relationships, and inventory levels.
• Create and review work orders, ensuring accurate documentation of labor, parts, and costs.
• Maintain service records and ensure maintenance activities meet applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in a service, maintenance, or mechanical environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Construction or heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage competing priorities.
• Experience with work orders, maintenance records, parts ordering, and inventory management.
• Comfortable using computers and learning service management software.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
