What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Sterilization Technician position at Valley Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics?
We’re a fun, fast-paced pediatric orthodontic office on a mission to make dental visits something patients actually look forward to — and we need YOU behind the scenes helping make it happen!
We’re looking for a Sterilization Technician who is detail-oriented, hardworking, and has a team-first attitude. If you love keeping things organized, can keep up in a busy environment, and understand how important infection control is to patient care, we want you on our team!
What you’ll be doing:
- Cleaning, disinfecting, packaging, and sterilizing dental instruments
- Operating sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners
- Monitoring and documenting sterilization cycles
- Keeping the sterilization area clean, organized, and running smoothly
- Stocking and organizing instruments and supplies for our clinical team
- Following proper infection control and safety protocols
- Supporting the dental team to help keep the office running efficiently
What we’re looking for:
- Previous dental sterilization or dental office experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate!
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to learn and follow proper sterilization and infection control procedures
