Seasonal Full-Time position for highway construction company located in Shakopee, MN. Typical Season runs from April – November each year. Projects are primarily located in the Metro and South Metro areas. Our company is in Shakopee, MN and does operate through unions and works on certified/prevailing wage projects.
· Applicants will have a strong background in highway heavy/civil projects for DOT and Municipal owners. The position requires the ability to manage VPI projects from inception to completion.
· Proficient with computers, and Microsoft Excel and HCSS-Heavy Job-Heavy Bid experience preferred.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Owned & rented equipment-fleet use management
· Daily personal assignments
· Hiring-termination of employees
· Quantity reconciliation and job close-out with project engineer/owner
· Establish productive working relationships with project engineer/owner
· Work with Estimator-PMs to complete project, including but now limited to change orders, extra work, and quantity differences within plan sets
· Read and interpret plan sets for upcoming scheduling and potential issues that may arise
· Train employees, including project site managers, laborers, and operators to be effective and efficient.
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Valid Class D Driver License – Class A License Preferred
· Valid Medical Exam/CMV Certification
· Good Driving Record
· Weekend Availability When Projects Require
$2,800 - $3,100/weekly salary union or company benefits based on experience/knowledge in industry.
Discretionary year-end bonus based on individual and company performance.
