What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuel Transloading Operator position at Valley Pacific Petroleum Services?
Valley Pacific Petroleum Services, Inc. is seeking Transloaders for our Redding location. Successful candidates will be effective communicators, self-starters who operate effectively with little supervision, and emphasize attention to detail. Job duties include working hands-on with petroleum equipment, including but not limited to tanks, hoses, meters, vehicle operation while pulling trailers, etc. Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus. Relevant experience and/or certification in the operation of a mobile railcar mover are eligible for additional compensation.
Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and prepare tank cars for safe unload into transport tankers and stationary storage tanks via specialized transload equipment.
- Coordinate with peers, management, and tank truck operators for safe, efficient fuel transfer.
- Produce and submit accurate documentation of metered gallons.
- Be a team player.
- Preventive maintenance and care of specialized equipment.
- General care and maintenance of rail facility and related property/properties.
- Proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Professional, courteous rapport with peers, management, and tank truck operators.
- Clear and concise communication through all aspects of the transload process.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Receptive and responsive to periodic changes to schedules and equipment.
- Participate in periodic training and certification relevant to the position.
- Complete and retain all necessary equipment operator certifications.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay range from $20-$28 per hour DOE, and relevant training and certifications
