What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director of Healthy Living - Desert Foothills Family YMCA position at VALLEY OF THE SUN YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION?
Directs health/fitness promotion, retention and program activities. Oversees the operations of the healthy living department and programs, including staff supervision, budget management, and planning. Provides no more than 20 hours per week of direct service (Personal Training, Group Exercise, Small Group Training).
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF HEALTHY LIVING:
- Supervise and oversee group fitness, personal training, aquatics staff/volunteers and all operations of the healthy living
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to promoting healthy living
- Impact the lives and health of each member each day

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF HEALTHY LIVING:
- A passion for health and fitness
- Current certifications in YMCA Healthy Lifestyle Principles, Foundations of YMCA Group Exercise and/or YMCA Personal Training Instructor, CPR, First Aid
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience in health and fitness
- Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation or equivalent experience
