What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Cleaner position at Valley Metro (First Transit)?
Summary: The Bus Cleaner is responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior areas of buses and service vehicles and working on the service lane when needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of operations of cleaning equipment, proper use and storage of cleaning solvents, per MSDS, proper cleaning techniques for exposure to the public
- Valid Virginia driver’s license
- Bus driving experience, preferred
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning/detailing buses and service vehicles
- Working on the service lane when needed
- Fare box handling
- Checking fluids and tires
- Parking buses
- Cleaning of the shop area at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.35 per hour
