Role Description
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to start one day per week, with the option to add more hours as we grow. The position will be hybrid, as you will be required to offer in person care at our Methuen office. However, if all of your patients for the day are telehealth, you can work from home. The position and hours are flexible. We care for a spectrum of patients with mental health disorders, from the more benign to serious and persistent mental illness. This position offers a great opportunity for autonomy and work/life balance while partnering with a supportive team of NPs and Therapists.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
- Prescribe and manage medications for patients
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients' mental health conditions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatments, and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
