What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Hand Therapist (OT/PT) - Valley Medical Group position at Valley Medical Group?
Valley Medical Group, an independent, primary care focused multi-specialty organization is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (OT, PT) to work in our Amherst office with the potential for additional hours in our Greenfield office. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with post ops, splinting, primarily orthopedic/neuromusculoskelatal disorders, and be confident treating shoulders to hands.
About the position:
• Outpatient only with a flexible schedule, 16 hours per week in Amherst, additional hours available in Greenfield
• Primarily treat patients with hand, arm and shoulder disorders
• Opportunity to participate in leadership positions
• Shareholder opportunity after two years

• Conducting clinical evaluations and developing care plans
• Follow our own patient panel
• Provide consultations to primary care and other medical staff related to physical therapy care
• Participate in practice wide health care initiatives such as smoking cessation and chronic pain management
• Treat young adults to geriatrics
About you:
• 2 years’ experience working as a hand therapist
• Graduation from an APTA accredited school of physical therapy
• Licensure in Massachusetts
• DPT, national specialization or advanced clinical skills are preferred
• Experience in orthopedics strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently while being part of a team
• Capacity to deliver care via telehealth
