We’re seeking a knowledgeable and resident-focused Dietician to join our team.Job Summary:The Dietician is responsible for assessing residents’ nutritional needs, developing individualized care plans, and ensuring all dietary services meet regulatory standards. This role works closely with nursing, dietary staff, therapy, and families to promote optimal health and quality of life.Responsibilities:Complete nutrition assessments for new admissions, quarterly reviews, annual reviews, and significant changes in condition.Develop and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.Evaluate weight trends, meal intake, lab values, and clinical indicators to identify nutrition risks.Manage therapeutic diets, texture modifications (IDDSI), and medical nutrition therapy for conditions such as diabetes, renal disease, dysphagia, and malnutrition.Review and approve menus; ensure accuracy of diet orders and meal delivery.Conduct regular meal service and tray line audits.Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (CMS/OBRA).Provide education to staff, residents, and families as needed.Qualifications:Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) required.State dietitian license (if applicable).Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required.Strong documentation and assessment skills.Ability to work well with diverse residents and staff.
