What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide position at Valley Manor?
1. SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, Laundry staff area responsible to perform scheduled laundry tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This may include but not be limited to picking up dirty laundry and delivering clean laundry to resident(s), washing, drying, hanging up laundry, washing and drying bed linens, etc. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY YOUR SUPERVISOR.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Job Knowledge and Role Responsibilities:
1. Must follow policies and procedures set forth in Environmental Care Manual and Disaster Manual.
2. Must demonstrate safety in being around and using laundry chemicals and follow all policies and procedures.
3. Attend all mandatory in-services by employee’s anniversary date.
4. Act appropriately under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and act as an active member of interdisciplinary team.
5. Demonstrate ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet facility needs.
6. Communicate and observe the Corporate Compliance Program effectively and comply with Code of Conduct when performing work functions.
7. Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
