Registered Dietitian – Full-Time
Valley Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary team. This is a full-time opportunity for a dedicated professional who is committed to supporting the nutritional health and overall well-being of our residents.
Valley Manor has proudly served the community for more than 50 years. We provide post-acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and short- and long-term care in a supportive, resident-centered environment.
Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents upon admission and as required.
Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on each resident’s medical condition, dietary needs, preferences, and goals.
Monitor residents’ nutritional status, weight changes, laboratory results, food intake, and response to interventions.
Identify residents at risk for malnutrition, dehydration, weight loss, or other nutrition-related concerns.
Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and collaborate with nursing, physicians, rehabilitation, dietary services, and other clinical team members.
Make recommendations regarding therapeutic diets, nutritional supplements, meal modifications, and feeding assistance.
Complete required clinical documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
Conduct regular kitchen and meal-service inspections to support food quality, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
Provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff.
Assist with menu review and ensure menus meet residents’ nutritional needs and applicable regulations.
Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, weight-management, and compliance programs.
Maintain compliance with federal and Pennsylvania regulations, facility policies, and professional standards of practice.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field required.
Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist required.
Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility for licensure required, where applicable.
Experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutrition support, food-service sanitation, and long-term-care regulations.
