Head Varsity Girls Bowling Coach

Head Coach General Qualifications/Expectations:

• To serve as a Christian role model and enforce what Valley Lutheran stands for by committing to the mission statement.
• Be a positive role model through management, appearance, ethics, and behavior.
• Provide an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration among coaches and players.
• Hold your athletes to a high standard of academic accountability, sportsmanship, commitment to the sport, and success on the court.
• Be open and honest in communicating with the athletic director, students, parents, and other coaches.
• Promote and enforce student discipline within your athletic program.
• Create and maintain a safe and healthy environment for Valley Lutheran’s student athletes. This includes completing all MHSAA requirements.

Basketball Specific Qualifications/Expectations:

• Head coaching experience preferred at the high school level.
• Assume complete responsibility for all aspects of the Valley Lutheran High School girl's bowling program.
• Develop and communicate clear/specific goals for Valley Lutheran’s girl's bowling program.
• Model and teach skills necessary to be successful. Provide opportunities for players to learn, develop, and improve their God given abilities.
• Assess program needs and communicate needs and program suggestions to the athletic director.
• Coordinate and work with Valley Lutheran’s Strength and Conditioning Coordinator to design and implement a program that the collective girl's bowling program is expected to be fully involved in.
• Coordinate and work with Valley Lutheran’s Athletic Trainer regarding injuries to make sure student athletes receive proper and safe care.
